Hear Robert Tickner, former Red Cross CEO and Australia's longest serving federal minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs share the story of his remarkable reunion with his birth parents.

Serving in both the Hawke and Keating governments Tickner was intrumental in initiating the reconciliation process with Indigenous Australians, but it wasn't until his own son was born that sought out his own history, learning of the exceptional nature of the woman who brought him into the world and the journey to meeting his birth father and siblings.
